A small workshop
with a long history.
Kelham Island Furniture is a bespoke furniture workshop run by David. It started in Kelham Island — hence the name — and is now based in Chesterfield. Every piece is designed with the client, hand-built in the workshop and installed by David himself.

The workshop,
now in Chesterfield.
The business began in Kelham Island, Sheffield's Victorian industrial quarter — steel foundries, cutlery works, silversmiths. The name stuck; the workshop has since moved to a larger space in Chesterfield, a short drive down the road.
Visits to the workshop are welcome by appointment — give us a call or drop David an email to arrange a time.

Designed with you. Built by hand. Installed by David.
David designs, builds and installs every piece himself. Pieces are drawn with the client, built in the Chesterfield workshop and fitted in your home.
Everything is made to order — alcove cabinets, fitted wardrobes, bookcases, kitchens and one-off pieces in painted or clear finishes. A CAD design service is available if it helps to see the piece before it's built.
Free home consultation.
David visits, measures the space and talks through what you're after — no charge, no obligation.
